Park Ridge Country Club

Park Ridge, Illinois

The 2017 Western Junior Championship will be played June 19-22 at Park Ridge Country Club.

Completed in 1911, Park Ridge Country Club's original course design was a two-phase project spearheaded by Herbert J. Tweedie, who designed the original 9 holes, and Tom Bendelow, who designed the second and completed the 18-hole layout. In 1915, famed golf course architect William B. Langford was brought in to rebuild the golf course, and is responsible for many of the course features you still see today. The club retained golf course architect David Esler in 2001 to revise and redesign certain holes to create a new, yet traditional look to the golf course.

Park Ridge Country Club has played host to a number of amateur and professional events most notably the 1944 Women's PGA Western Open, 1993 U.S. Senior Amateur, and 1988 Women's U.S. Open Qualifier. The club is also the permanent site of the Champion of Champions golf tournament for private golf and country clubs in Chicago.
